Ingredients /nutrition
- 50 g shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 bird eye’s chilies (cili padi)
- 2 tsp shrimp paste (belacan)
- vegetable oil
- 2 bowls cooked plain rice
- 2 tsp sweet soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 fried egg
- 4 prawn crackers
- 8 cucumber slices
- 1/2 tsp fried shallots
Methods / instructionss
- Combine shallots, garlic, chilies and shrimp paste in a food processor or blender.
- Blend until form a smooth paste.
- Heat up some oil and saute grinded paste until aromatic.
- Add in rice, sweet soy sauce and salt.
- Stir fry until evenly.
- Transfer fried rice on serving plates and garnish with remaining ingredients.
- Serve immediately.
